The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL).  FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services.  Moose Jaw Co-op invites applications for the position of Assistant Gas Bar Manager.

Reporting to the Gas Bar Manager, the Assistant Gas Bar Manager demonstrates and leads with day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Moose Jaw Co-op’s values, mission and vision.  This multi-task position requires strong technical knowledge and experience in gas bar operations and marketing, high standards in merchandising and customer service, and the ability to organize and lead a team toward common goals.  


  • Responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the Gas Bar
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our external and internal customers
  • Supervision of a large team of employees while leading and inspiring them to achieve location goals, as well as, supporting and maintaining our brand
  • Requires knowledge and experience of sales, gross margin and inventory management.
  • Assist with the administrative procedures, ordering/receiving of product and merchandising
  • Lead a culture of safety through adherence to company standards for Health & Safety, Loss Prevention and Environmental Due Diligence.

The successful candidate must demonstrate effective team leadership skills and have the ability to work well within a multi-generational, highly motivated team.  We are looking for an individual with strong communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as, excellent organizational skills.  Starting in a junior management position, we will provide you with ongoing training that could enable you to advance into a senior leadership role.  We will require an individual with a retail background.  Related experience in the Co-operative Retailing System would be considered an asset.
